Whew! I’m six weeks in to 2 months of assorted Fringe performances! This is what’s been happening…<\/p>\n

The Smithergreens<\/strong><\/h1>\n

\u00a0\"\"\u00a0 \"\"<\/p>\n

The Smithergreens<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>had their inaugural (not inaudible, although I did have a dodgy throat the week before!) season at the intimate and funky Basem3nt Studios<\/a> in Featherstone Place just off Rundle Mall in the Adelaide CBD.\u00a0Johnnie and Janine Smithergreen (Stuart Day and myself) are a middle-aged brother-sister singing act (not so) fresh from the sixties and seventies. They revisited a selection of groovy girl-boy duets that outdo the Osmonds, crush the Carpenters and reconcile Sonny and Cher.<\/p>\n

Here’s what some audience members said:<\/p>\n

“A great comeback by Janine and Johnnie, your parents would have been proud of the Hairyback song, the dance medley, the you are my f…sunshine, the costumes,witty repartee, really the whole show and its , touching homegrown messages, the do’s and don’t songs,not to mention Johnnies no hands keyboard flourishes what can I say.. but it needs a longer season.”<\/em><\/p>\n

“Superb! Impressive, talented, hilarious – the perfect start to your night out.\u00a0Get your grooves on!”<\/em><\/p>\n

Cabin Fever<\/strong><\/h1>\n

\"\"\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\"\"\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\"\"\u00a0 \"\"<\/p>\n

Cabin Fever<\/strong><\/a> is currently mid season at Henley Square and looking toward a regional tour to Mount Gambier Fringe<\/a> from 20\u201322 March.<\/p>\n

This solo work that I premiered in a cabin last year at the 2019 Adelaide Fringe (winning a weekly award and a five star review) now continues to evolve as it is reworked for a series of vintage caravans for maximum audiences of 8\u201310…firstly a 1978 Viscount Explorer in the Trades Hall car park for the 2019 Melbourne Fringe, currently a 1979 Windsor (“Winnie”) in Henley Square, Henley Beach, and soon in a 1950’s vintage van called “Granny.”<\/p>\n

Guru Dudu’s Silent Disco Walking Tours<\/strong><\/h1>\n

My new alter ego “Disco Diddi” has become one of Guru Dudu’s village people and started leading tours as part of the Adelaide Fringe 2020 season. Disco Diddi will continue to run public tours and be available for private tours throughout the year in Adelaide. Bookings can be made through the Guru Dudu website<\/a> and also by following the Guru Dudu Adelaide<\/a> page on Facebook.<\/p>\n

There was also a side trip to Fringeworld<\/a><\/strong> in Perth late January to help out my boyfriend (?!) with some dance moves…<\/p>\n
